Currently searching for an Assistant Controller in Finance Controlling Team to join their team in Riga.
About the role:
Controlling team at Samsung Electronics Baltics is the backbone of all our financial operations stability. The team works closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), regional offices, and global headquarters and is seeking to have a strong support from assistant controller in providing seamless support in reporting, information accuracy and circulation. Logic, analytical skills and a personality that can spot details which otherwise may be missed, would be a great addition to the team. Job description:
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports on various sales status, profit and loss statements per different measures as requested by management
- Assist Senior team members, including but not limited to:
- Preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Maintain data references aligned with global standard to ensure that all reports are prepared properly
- Ensure consistent information accuracy and immediate availability to senior stakeholders for prompt decision making
- Maintain effective communication with Sales team (mostly Product managers & Supply Chain Management specialists) and Shared Services Centre in Romania
- Various Ad-hoc requests and reports for Suwon Office, Europe Office and the Subsidiary management
- Proficiency in both, written and spoken, English ( To communicate with colleagues in other countries)
- Strong understanding of general accounting and financial reporting principles and practices (Accounting major preferred)
- Previous experience (+2 year) as financial analyst preferred
- Previous experience with SAP (FI/CO module) preferred
- Strong knowledge in MS Excel, PPT
- Strong communication skills to navigate effective internal and multi-cultural communication
- Ability to adapt in a multi-national environment
- Ability to work under pressure - keep up to speed and manage change in a fast moving environment
