Our Client - WALLETTO is an e-money institution licensed by the Bank of Lithuania. The company runs its operations from its main office in Vilnius and provides payment cards issuing, e-commerce acquiring and multi-currency payments.
As CTO, you will oversee the IT department’s daily operations, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategy and goals. Your role involves managing and optimizing business processes, leading IT projects, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure and information security. You’ll also handle key negotiations, build partnerships, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations. Additionally, you’ll play a crucial role in decision-making, analyzing IT solutions, and supporting business continuity through disaster recovery plans. Maintaining effective communication and problem-solving within your team and with external partners is essential.
- To ensure participation in the development and implementation of the company's strategic and tactical development plans.
- To ensure the effective operation of the department and the implementation of plans in accordance with the company's strategy and goals.
- To ensure the management, planning and analysis of the department on the basis of the defined tasks and the market situation.
- To ensure the optimization and automation of existing business processes, as well as the creation and implementation of new business processes.
- To ensure the conduct of negotiations, the establishment and maintenance of co-operation with strategically important partners.
- To take decisions on co-operation, payment terms and other significant co-operation issues within the scope of its competence.
- To ensure the compliance of the prepared cooperation offers with the procedures specified by the company, as well as the applicable laws and regulations.
- To ensure the identification and solution of problem situations both within its own team and in cooperation with customers and partners.
- To control the management and coordination of IT projects, to initiate and participate in the implementation of new information systems.
- To participate in the development and preparation of procurement offers.
- To provide information on IT solutions, analyze offers and submit proposals to the company's management.
- To ensure the operational running of the IT infrastructure.
- To ensure the organization and coordination of technical support for the company's employees.
- To ensure the maintenance, development and implementation of the company's information security principles.
- To ensure the day-to-day operational management of the IT department;
- To ensure the immediate provision of information to the line manager about accidents that have occurred or any important information, to report to a specific responsible person or the management of the company in his/her absence. Without informing the line manager or in case of untimely transmission of information, he is materially liable for the damage caused.
- To ensure compliance of documents with the procedures established by the company, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
- To coordinate the development and maintenance of IT disaster recovery plans for critical systems in support of the Company’s Business Continuity Plans.
- To review and approve software purchases and use.
- To ensure continuous improvement of professional skills and acquisition of knowledge within the position.
- To perform other duties of the position, which essentially correspond to the job description, following the instructions of the company's management.
- Higher education;
- Extensive knowledge of IT technologies, systems development and infrastructure;
- Deep knowledge of project management, IT management or related experience;
- At least 5 years of experience in managing position;
- The ability to act in non-standard situations, to react quickly to the rules of change and to interpret them correctly, taking into account the interests of the company;
- Presentation skills, be able to communicate with the leading and ordinary employees of the company and cooperation partners;
- Be fluent in English language;
- Initiative, determination, ability to make decisions;
